To actually confirm if an item or product is cybersecure we need to perform validation acts during the concept and development phases, otherwise we can’t truly assure resilience or provide evidence for the fulfillment of cybersecurity goals. That’s why in this video course “Cybersecurity Validation (G11_3)” we will give you an overview of what is meant by cybersecurity validation.


In the first part of the video, we will give you a brief definition of cybersecurity validation according to ISO/SAE 21434 and further address mentioned important remarks by the standard to have a better understanding of what cybersecurity validation for vehicles encompasses.


In the second part of the video, we will talk about how the output of cybersecurity validation should look like, starting with listing the main requirements highlighted by ISO/SAE 21434 for the validation report, and then finally providing with examples of cybersecurity validation activities such as Penetration testing and document reviews.
