Logically, if we want to achieve cybersecurity goals and requirements, we need to take action and apply certain measures such as policies, procedures, plans, and methods etc. as different forms of cybersecurity controls. That’s why in this video course “Introduction To Cybersecurity Controls”, we will clarify what cybersecurity controls are, their purpose, and selection approaches.

We will begin by defining cybersecurity controls according to SAE J3061 and ISO/SAE 21434 and clarify what the relationship is between cybersecurity requirements and cybersecurity goals as it is crucial to eventually realize cybersecurity goals. Then, we will mention the two control selection approaches and differentiate between them.

Additionally, we will deep dive into cybersecurity controls classification where there are three approaches to do so, which are by control type, function, and abstraction layer.
